Pursuant to Court notice, Mr. Habib-ur-Rahman Dashti, Assistant Manager, Legal, NADRA, has produced the copy of letter dated 29.1.2014 issued by Deputy Director, HOD, NADRA, Islamabad addressed to RHC Sukkur NADRA, which reads as follows :-

Subject: FTRC Based DUP Cases.

Reference: HOD Minute sheet: NADRA/21/HQ Ops/MS/

WM0033 dated 26 Jan, 2014.

1. Mr. Atta Muhammad request for processing of DUP case free of cost has been approved by competent authority, and fee against surrender CNIC 43103 1376439 9 has been set to Zero (0) at back end. You are request to contact the applicant. And process his case as per DUP clearance procedure in vogue.

2. For information / necessary action, please.

It is contended by the learned Counsel that the grievance of the petitioner in substance has been redressed and the petitioner may be directed to approach the R.H.O., NADRA or respondent No.2 i.e., Assistant Manager, NSRC Kandhkot, who shall process the case of the petitioner accordingly within a reasonable time.

Counsel for the petitioner is satisfied in view of such statement, however, states that the requisite fee has already been paid and the original CNIC has also been surrendered by the petitioner.

Accordingly, the instant petition stands disposed of in the above terms.
