Though the matter was fixed for non prosecution, however, the SHO PS Kamber has filed statement wherein it has been stated that there is no case registered against the petitioners in respect of their marriage nor the official respondents have caused any harassment to petitioner. Such statement is taken on record copy supplied to the counsel for the petitioners. Petitioners are also present in Court. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner No.1 has entered into a valid contract of marriage with petitioner No.2 which has antagonized her relatives who are causing continuous harassment and issuing threats to the petitioners. Learned counsel stated that the petitioners would be satisfied if directions are issued to the official respondents to provide legal protection to the petitioners and restrain the private respondents from causing any harassment or injury to the petitioners.
To this statement the learned State counsel states that all due and legal protection will be provided to the petitioners as and when required.
Inspector Aijaz Ali Massan SHO PS Kamber is present in Court, whereas no private respondents are in attendance despite notice. The SHO present in Court also undertakes to provide legal protection to petitioners and further submitted that if the private respondents will create any harassment, or try to cause any injury to the petitioners, an action against them shall be taken in accordance with law. To this assurance and undertaking by the SHO, P.S Kamber, the counsel for petitioners is satisfied. Accordingly, the instant petition is disposed of in the above terms.
