                   Petitioner has filed instant petition alleging high handedness on the part of the police officials, with the prayer to produce alleged detenue Gul Muhammad, who, according to the petitioner, was detained by the police.  The matter was taken up for hearing on 08.02.2010 when notices were issued to the respondents, pursuant to which respondents No.1 & 2 have filed their comments, wherein the allegations contained in the petition have been denied and it has been further intimated that there is one F.I.R. No.26/2010, registered at P.S Naudero against the relatives of the petitioner. 

                   Today also, the respondent No.2 has filed statement, which is taken on record.  No one is in attendance on behalf of the petitioner, nor any intimation is received.  It appears that the petitioner has lost interest in the instant petition, as, after having filed this petition and showing his presence on 08.02.2010, neither the petitioner nor his Counsel have bothered to come forward and to proceed with the matter. 

                   Accordingly, this petition is dismissed for non-prosecution.
