The petitioner claims to be the owner of Plot viz ST-3/1, Sector 1-C, Orangi Town, Karachi, admeasuring 1400 sq. yds. It is stated by the counsel for the petitioner that this plot was originally auctioned by the City District Government Karachi and then subsequently regularized and that the petitioner has purchased this plot from its previous owner. The very description of the plot is "ST", means a Special Type plot, which is meant for amenity purposes and cannot be legally sold, transferred, auctioned or regularized by the City District Government Karachi. The petitioner's counsel is therefore put on notice to satisfy the Court about the maintainability of the petition and so also about the very ownership of the land by the petitioner.
