            Applicant/accused Imran Rasheed son of Muhammad Rasheedullah seeks   pre-arrest bail in FIR No.40/2024, registered at P.S. FIA Anti-Corruption Circle, Karachi for offence under sections 406, 420, 468, 471, 109, PPC read with Section 5(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947. Learned counsel for applicant submits that applicant is CEO of M/s Staple Foods (Pvt.) Limited, he is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case by the FIA officials in order to humiliate and disgrace him; that applicant/accused is law abiding citizen and he intends to surrender before the concerned Court but he feels apprehension of his arrest at the hands of FIA Officials, hence he need some protection to enable him to appear before the Court concerned.

 

Without touching the merits of the case, protective bail is granted to applicant/accused above named, for a period of five (5) days from today, subject to furnishing solvent surety in the sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand) and P.R bond in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Nazir of this Court. Applicant is directed to surrender before the trial Court concerned in the aforesaid period and join the investigation/trial forthwith. This order shall cease to have its effect after expiry of five days from today or whenever applicant/accused surrenders before the trial Court, which one occurs earlier. It is made clear, in case, applicant/accused fails to surrender before the trial Court in the aforesaid period, his bail bond shall stand automatically forfeited.

 

            The instant criminal bail application is accordingly disposed of.
