            Petitioners/accused Muhammad Muqeet Khalid son of Sheikh Muhammad Khalid and Sheikh Muhammad Khalid son of Sheikh Abdul Kareem, have filed this constitution petition through their attorney, namely, Muhammad Ali son of Sheikh Muhammad Khalid, for protective-cum-transitory bail in FIR No.M-4260/FIR/Seiz/Black-Tea/Inqlab-Enter/2024, dated 27.04.2024, registered at the Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation-Customs, Karachi for offences under Sections 2(s), 32, 32A, 79, 178 of the Customs Act, 1969.

            It is submitted that the petitioners/accused are at Dubai and are prepared to surrender before the trial Court/Special Court Customs and Taxation at Karachi but they apprehend arrest at the hands of Customs Authorities. Air-Tickets are annexed to the petition, which reflects that the petitioners/accused are scheduled to arrive at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi on 09.05.2024.

Since the petitioners/accused are prepared to surrender before the trial Court, without touching the merits of the case, petitioners/accused Muhammad Muqeet Khalid son of Sheikh Muhammad Khalid and Sheikh Muhammad Khalid son of Sheikh Abdul Kareem are granted protective-cum-transitory bail for a period of six (6) days from today, subject to their furnishing solvent surety in the sum of Rs.100,000/- (Rupees One Hundred Thousand) each and P.R bond in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Nazir of this Court. Petitioners/accused are directed to surrender before the trial Court concerned in the aforesaid period. This order shall cease to have its effect after expiry of six days from today or whenever the petitioners/accused surrender before the trial court, which one occurs earlier. In case, petitioners fail to surrender before the trial Court within the aforesaid period, their bail bond shall stand automatically forfeited. Let the copy of this order be sent to the Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Government of Pakistan, Islamabad, by fax for compliance.

            The instant petition is accordingly disposed of.
