            Petitioner/accused Babar Rashid son of Rashid Ahmad Zafar, who is presently residing at UAE has filed this constitution petition under Article 199 of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973, for protective/transitory bail, through his duly constituted attorney, namely, Owais Nasim son of Nasim Yousuf. It is inter alia contended by the counsel for petitioner that petitioner intends to surrender before Lahore High Court/trail Court concerned in connection with FIR bearing Crime No.38/2024, registered at P.S. FIA, Anti-Money Laundering Circle, Lahore, for offences under Sections 3, 4, AML (Amended) Act, 2020, but apprehends his arrest at the hands of FIA officials at Karachi Airport, for mala fide reasons. In terms of order dated 16.09.2024, counsel for petitioner by way of his statement has placed before this Court copies of    Air-Ticket, CNIC and passport of petitioner/accused.

 

            Since petitioner/accused Babar Rashid son of Rashid Ahmad Zafar is prepared to surrender before the trial Court, without touching the merits of the case, protective/transitory bail is granted to him for a period of Nine (9) days from today, subject to furnishing solvent surety in the sum of Rs.100,000/- (Rupees One Hundred Thousand) and P.R bond in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Nazir of this Court. Petitioner/accused is directed to surrender before the trial Court concerned in the aforesaid period. This order shall cease to have its effect after expiry of nine days from today or whenever the petitioner/accused surrenders before the trial Court, which one occurs earlier. In case, petitioner fails to surrender before the trial Court within the aforesaid period, his bail bond shall stand automatically forfeited. Let the copy of this order be sent to the Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Government of Pakistan, Islamabad, by fax for information.

           

            The instant petition is accordingly disposed of.
