Applicant/accused
Jawad Ali son of Ali Nawaz, seeks protective bail in Crime No. C/09/2023,
registered at P.S. FIA/ACC/FSD, Faisalabad, for offences under Section 23/27 of
the Drugs Act, 1976.
It is inter alia contended that applicant/accused is prepared to
surrender before the Drugs Court concerned at Punjab, but apprehends his arrest
at the hands of Provincial Inspector of Drugs Faisalabad for the malafide
reasons. Serious malafide against the Drugs Inspector is alleged.
Without touching the merits of the
case, protective bail for a period
of five (5) days from today is granted to applicant/accused Jawad Ali son of
Ali Nawaz, subject to furnishing solvent surety in the
sum of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand) and P.R. bond in the like amount to
the satisfaction of the Nazir of this Court. Applicant/accused is directed to
surrender before the concerned trial Court in the aforesaid crime. This order
shall cease to have its effect after expiry of five days from today or when the applicant/accused surrenders
before the concerned trial Court which one occurs earlier. It is made clear
that in case applicant/accused fails to surrender before the concerned trial
Court within the aforesaid period his bail bond shall stand forfeited.
Application
is accordingly disposed of.
