Applicant/accused Shahzad
Tejani seeks protective bail in Crime No.20/2023 for
offences punishable under Sections 5(2) PCA 1947, 156 of Customs Act 1969 read
with section 109 PPC registered at PS FIA Crime Circle, Hyderabad. It is
inter-alia contended that applicant/accused had no knowledge regarding pendency
of the case against him before learned trial Court. Serious malafide
is alleged against FIA officials.
Since applicant/accused is prepared to
surrender before learned Special Judge, Anti-Corruption (Central), Hyderabad, without
touching merits of the case, applicant/accused Shahzad Tejani son of Feroz
Ali Tejani is granted protective bail for a period of four (04) days from today, subject to his furnishing solvent surety
in the sum of Rs.100,000/- (Rupees One Lac Only) and P.R. bond in the like
amount to the satisfaction of the Nazir of this
Court. Applicant/accused is directed to surrender before learned Special Judge,
Anti-Corruption (Central), Hyderabad in the aforesaid crime/case. This order
shall cease to have its effect after expiry of (04) days from today or when the applicant/accused surrenders
before the concerned trial Court, which one occurs earlier. It is made clear
that in case applicant/accused fails to surrender before the concerned trial
Court within the aforesaid period his bail bond shall stand forfeited automatically.
Instant bail application is accordingly
disposed of.
