Khan and Ammaduddin Khan son of Iftikhar
Ali Khan, seek protective bail in FIR No.05/2023, registered at P.S. FIA
Anti-Corruption Circle, Karachi, for offences under Sections 23(1)(a)(i),
23(1)(a)(vii), 23(1)(a)(x), 23(1)(b), 23(1)(c) and 23(1)(i) punishable under
Section 27(1)(a), 27(1)(b) 27(4) of the Drug Act, 1976. It is inter alia
contended that the applicants/accused are prepared to surrender before the
trial Court but apprehend their arrest at the hands of FIA Officials for the
mala fide reasons. Serious mala fide on the part of FIA officials is alleged.
Without touching the merits of the case, applicants/accused
Ibrar Ahmed son of Muhammad Iqbal Khan and Ammaduddin Khan
son of Iftikhar Ali Khan are granted protective bail for a period of five (5)
days from today, subject to furnishing solvent surety in the sum of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees One
Hundred Thousand) each and P.R bond in the like amount to the satisfaction
of the Nazir of this Court. This order shall cease to have its effect after
expiry of five (5) days from today or whenever the applicants/accused surrender
before the trial court, which one occurs earlier. In case, applicants/accused
fail to surrender before the trial Court within the aforesaid period, their bail
bond shall stand forfeited.
The instant criminal bail
application is accordingly disposed of.
