            Syed Arshad Ali Shah son of Syed Iqbal Hussain Shah, applicant/accused, seeks protective bail in F.I.R. No.20/2021, registered at P.S. FIA, CBC, Karachi, for offences under Sections 409, 420, 468, 471, 34 PPC read with Sections 3 and 4 of the Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2010 (Amended 2020). It is stated that presently case is pending before the Special Court (Offences in Banks) Sindh at Karachi and NBW has been issued against the applicant/accused by the trial Court. It is inter alia contended that applicant/accused is prepared to surrender before the trial Court but apprehends his arrest at the hands of FIA. Serious mala fide on the part of FIA officials is alleged.  

 

            Without touching the merits of the case, protective bail for a period of six (6) days from today is granted to applicant/accused Syed Arshad Ali Shah son of Syed Iqbal Hussain Shah, subject to furnishing solvent surety in the sum of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand) and P.R. bond in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Nazir of this Court. Operation of NWB issued against the applicant/accused is suspended for six days. Applicant/accused is directed to surrender before the trial Court in the aforesaid crime. This order shall cease to have its effect after expiry of six days from today or whenever applicant/accused surrenders before the trial Court which one occurs earlier. It is made clear, in case applicant/accused failed to surrender before the trial Court within the aforesaid period his bail bond shall stand forfeited.   

 

            This criminal bail application is accordingly disposed of.
