Petitioner
Muhammad Abdul Wahid Khan is present along with his counsel and seeks
protective bail in investigation initiated against Malik Allah Yar and others
regarding corruption and corrupt practices in purchase of five helicopters.
Learned counsel for the petitioner inter-alia contended that petitioner is
prepared to surrender before the learned Islamabad High Court for bail but
apprehends his arrest at the hands of the NAB Authorities before approaching
the concerned Court. Serious malafide on the part of the NAB has been alleged.
Without
touching the merits of the case, protective
bail for a period of five days
is granted to petitioner Muhammad Abdul
Wahid Khan subject to furnishing solvent surety in the sum of Rupees One
Million and P.R bond in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Nazir of
this court. Petitioner shall deposit his original Passport with the Nazir of
this Court. Petitioner shall surrender before the concerned court within the
stipulated period. This order shall cease to have effect after expiry of five days or whenever the petitioner
surrenders before the concerned Court, whichever occurs earlier.
The
petition stands disposed of.
