Applicant/accused
Abdul Rehman Shaikh, Ex-Superintendent, Central Prison, Karachi seeks
protective bail in FIR No. 145/2017 for offences under Sections 119/130/201/222
PPC read with Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997, registered at Police
Station C.T.D.
It is inter-alia
contended that police is intending to arrest the applicant/accused for malafide
reasons, even police has refused to supply copy of the FIR to the counsel for
the applicant/accused. It is further submitted that applicant/accused is
prepared to surrender before the Trial Court, but apprehends humiliation at the
hands of the police with ulterior motives.
Without
touching merits of the case, protective
bail for a period of 05 days is
granted to the applicant/accused Abdul Rehman Shaikh, subject to furnishing
solvent surety in the sum of Rs.200,000/- (Rupees Two Lacs only) and P.R bond
in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Nazir of this Court.
Applicant/accused shall surrender before the learned Judge, Anti-Terrorism
Court No.I, Karachi in the aforesaid period. This order shall cease to have
effect after expiry of 05 days or
whenever the applicant/accused surrenders before the concerned Court. In case,
applicant/accused fails to surrender before the Trial Court within the
stipulated period, his bail bond shall stand forfeited automatically.
The
instant Bail Application stands disposed of.

Applicant/accused
Abdul Rehman son of Shireendil Khan and Shamim Ahmed son of Ibrhaim Khan seek
protective bail in FIR No. 449/2017 for offences under Sections
384-385-506-504-34 PPC read with Section 25-D Telegraph Act, registered at
Police Station Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi.
It is inter-alia
contended that applicants/accused are prepared to surrendered before the
learned A.T.C. Court but apprehend their arrest at the hands of the police for
malafide reasons. It is further submitted that if the protective bail is not granted
to the applicants, they shall be humiliated at the hands of the police.
