            Applicants/accused Iqbal Ahmed Channa and Niaz Ahmed are present on interim pre-arrest bail. Mr. Muhammad Jamil, advocate, appearing on behalf of applicants/accused pointed out that challan has been submitted before learned Special Court, Anti-Corruption (Provincial) Sindh against the accused and prayed that captioned bail before arrest applications may be converted to the protective bails so that the applicants/accused may be able to surrender before the trial Court. Learned DDPP has recorded no objection. Request for conversion of       pre-arrest bail is allowed. Office is directed to assign the number.

 

            Without touching the merits of the case, protective bail is granted to applicants/accused Iqbal Ahmed Channa and Niaz Ahmed, for a period of four (4) days from today, subject to furnishing solvent surety in the sum of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand) each and P.R bond in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Nazir of this Court. Learned advocate for applicants/accused pointed out that at the time of grant of interim pre-arrest bail, surety in the sum of Rs.50,000/- for each accused has already been submitted before the Nazir of this Court, the same surety shall be deemed as surety in protective bail, no further surety is required to be furnished. However, the applicants/accused are directed to surrender before the trial Court in the aforesaid period and join the trial forthwith. This order shall cease to have its effect after expiry of four days from today or whenever the applicants/accused surrender before the trial Court, which one occurs earlier. It is made clear, in case, applicants/accused fail to surrender before the trial Court in the aforesaid period, their bail bonds shall stand automatically forfeited.

 

            The instant criminal bail applications are accordingly disposed of.
