The petitioner by
way of instant petition has sought for direction against DIG police Benazirabad
for ordering inquiry in respect of certain FIRs for the reason that those are
false. On being asked, it is stated by learned counsel for the petitioner that
the cognizance of the case in all those FIRs has already been taken by the
Courts having jurisdiction, on submission of such reports by the police. If it
is so, then further inquiry in pending cases by the police could hardly be
ordered by this Court in exercise of its constitutional jurisdiction by way of
instant petition. It is dismissed in limini, advising the petitioner to prove
his innocence or otherwise before the Courts concerned by joining the trial.
