3&4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has imported two vintage cars i.e. used 1967 CADILLAC DEVILLE and used 1966 FORD LTD after complying with all codal formalities and has requested for release of such vintage vehicles pursuant to SRO 833(I)/2018 dated 03.07.2018 and willing to pay the amount of duty and taxes of US$ 5,000.00, therefore, the respondents are not processing the G.Ds. of the petitioner and the consignment of the petitioner is not being released despite of the legal position as already settled by the Divisional Bench of this Court in the case of MOIN JAMAL ABBASI v. FEDERATION OF PAKISTAN and others (2020 PTD 660). It has been prayed by the learned counsel for petitioner that respondents may be directed to process the G.Ds. of the petitioner and allow the release of the subject vehicles in accordance with law.

Let pre-admission notice be issued to the respondents as well as D.A.G, to be served through first three modes, for 19.05.2021, when comments, if any, shall be filed with advance copy to the learned counsel for petitioner. In the meanwhile, the respondents may process the G.Ds. of the petitioner strictly in accordance with law, keeping in view the aforesaid judgment of this Court, and shall not pass any adverse order against the petitioner.
