                        It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is son of retired employee of Public Health Engineering Department; therefore, he is entitled to be appointed in Public Health Engineering Department under son-quota.

                        Learned Addl.A.G Sindh has sought for dismissal of the instant constitutional petition by contending that no quota is reserved for appointment in public service for sons of retired employees.

                        We have considered the above arguments and perused record.

                        No provision of law is referred by learned counsel for the petitioner, which could have made the petitioner entitled to be appointed in public service other than the merits only for the reason that his father is a retired public servant. Consequently, the instant constitutional petition being devoid of merits is dismissed accordingly.
