Pursuant to Court directions, Dr. Waheed Asghar Addl. Commissioner Sukkur, Muneer Abbasi XEN Roads, Sukkur, Muhammad Ali, Asstt: Manager (OPS) NSUSC, Sukkur and Ahsan Chohan AEN, PHED have shown appearance and request for short adjournment to submit further compliance report pursuant to orders passed by this Court on 16.12.2015, 19.01.2016 and 17.02.2016, however, it has been submitted that pursuant to directions of this Court, two high profile meetings under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary, Government of Sindh were held in which certain decisions were taken to improve the working of all concerned Departments relating to public services pursuant to Court’s orders, whereas, minutes of such meetings will also be produced on the next date of hearing.

Representative of North Sindh Urban Services Corporation (NSUSC) has submitted that needful is being done to ensure supply of clean water to the citizens of Sukkur and to remove garbage in the city. It has been further stated that complaints of citizens of Sukkur are being regularly entertained on the toll free numbers and submit that if there is any complaint to any individual with regard to supply of water, repair of drainage and removal of garbage, he can call on the following numbers:

At their request matters are being adjourned to 20.04.2016, to be taken up at 11-00 a.m. In the meanwhile, it is expected that official respondents shall ensure that orders already passed by this Court in the instant matters shall be complied with in letter and spirit and needful shall be done before next date of hearing so that all possible civic amenities i.e. clean drinking water, construction and repairs of public roads, parks etc. and proper drainage system and regular removal of garbage from the city shall be provided to the citizens of Sukkur city.
