Through instant petition, the petitioner has sought legal protection against the alleged harassment by private respondents, who are required in crime No.55/2013 registered at PS, Piryaloi, wherein it has been further prayed that the police may be directed to arrest the accused persons who are absconders in the aforesaid FIR.

Instant petition was filed on 04.11.2013, which was taken up for hearing on 05.12.2013, when notices were issued to the respondents as well as AAG. Thereafter, matter was fixed for 26.02.2014 and since then could not be taken up for hearing, which reflects that the petitioner is not vigilant to proceed with the petition. Today, also petitioner and his counsel are called absent, whereas, Syed Zafar Ali Shah Advocate, holding brief, under instructions, submits that instant petition may be disposed of with directions to the concerned police officials to provide legal protection to the petitioner and his family and to arrest the absconding accused persons so that the petitioner and his family may not be harassed. Learned AAG does not oppose such request.

Accordingly, instant petition is disposed of with directions to the concerned police to ensure that legal protection may be provided to the petitioner and his family in accordance with law, whereas, the accused persons nominated in the aforesaid FIR, if not arrested so far, shall be arrested and produced before the proper Court of jurisdiction.

Petition stands disposed of in the above terms.
