Petitioner and his Counsel called absent, no intimation received. Instant petition was filed on 06.11.2012, whereby the petitioner has prayed that respondent No.1 may be directed to hold Katchery in respect of subject land to grant the same in favour of petitioner.

Learned Asstt: A.G raised an objection with regard to maintainability of instant petition, as according to learned Asstt:A.G, the land can be granted as per Land Grant Policy and not at the request of an individual. However, after having filed instant petition, the petitioner and his Counsel have not remained vigilant to proceed with the matter, which is pending since 2012 without any useful progress. Accordingly, instant petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. However, the petitioner will be at liberty to approach the relevant authority for the purpose of grant of the land as per Land Grant Policy, whereas, the official respondents may consider the requests of the petitioner strictly in accordance with law and Land Grant Policy.
