Mr. Noor Hassan Malik, Asstt: A.G along with ASI Muhammad Arab of Police Station, Pano Akil.

Through instant petition, petitioner has alleged harassment by police at the instance of private respondents who according to the learned Counsel for petitioner are causing harassment and demanding the interest of their investments whereas, the petitioner has suffered loss in the business. It is further stated that there is a civil dispute between petitioner and private respondents, whereas serious harassment is being caused.

Pursuant to Court notice, ASI Muhammad Arab of police station, Pano Akil has shown his appearance and states that no harassment whatsoever has been caused to the petitioner nor they have received any complaint by the private respondents. It is further stated that the police will not interfere in civil disputes between private parties and will act strictly in accordance with law. However, if any cognizable offence is reported only then the matter will be taken up in accordance with law.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner in view of the aforesaid statements made by the police official is satisfied and does not press instant petition, which is accordingly disposed of.
