Petitioners and their counsel called absent, no intimation received. Through instant petition, the petitioners who contracted free will marriage, sought for protection and quashment of F.I.R No.13/2012 registered at Police Station Mehrabpur. Notices were issued in the instant matter, whereas protection was provided vide order dated 01.02.2012. However, thereafter, the petitioners have not come forward to proceed with the matter.

Today SIP/ASHO Abdul Shakoor Channa files statement on behalf of S.H.O Police Station Mehrabpur and submits that aforesaid F.I.R has been disposed of in ‘C’ Class.

Since the grievance of the petitioners appears to have been redressed, therefore, petitioners have not come forward to proceed with the matter. Accordingly, instant petition is disposed of with directions to concerned police to provide protection to the petitioners in respect of their free will marriage, in accordance with law.
