Pursuant to court notice, S.S.P Khairpur has submitted the progress report, wherein it has been stated that efforts are being made to trace out the whereabouts of the missing person, namely, Naveed Ali Mirani, son of applicant, however, it appears that whereabouts of the detenue Naveed Ali are not known to them. It has further been stated that J.I.T constituted by the police, Nadeem Ali, brother of the missing person appeared and had stated that his brother was forcibly taken away by Rangers in one vehicle bearing No. 2077. Where after letter No. LB/-377 dated 15.01.2016 has also been issued to the Sector Commander, Shahbaz Rangers, regarding provision of information of vehicle and the missing person. D.S.R Luqman Ahmad, Law Officer/Advocate of Shahbaz Rangers, present in court submits that the alleged detenue is not in their custody.

In view of the specific allegations made by the brother of missing person Naveed Ali, we would direct the Sector Commander Shahbaz Rangers to look into the matter personally and to ensure that Naveed Ali shall be produced in court on the next date of hearing positively, failing which we shall be constrained to pass appropriate orders under the facts and circumstances of the case.

To come up on 27.01.2016. S.S.P Khairpur is also directed to continue the efforts and trace out the whereabouts of the alleged detenue by associating all the law enforcement agencies in this regard who shall co-operate with the concerned S.S.P for the production of missing person namely, naveed Ali.
