Pursuant to court notice, statement has been filed by SSP Sukkur wherein, it has been intimated that the J.I.T formed in the instant matter informed that the alleged detainee Molvi Shahnawaz Brohi was neither illegally arrested nor detained by law enforcement agencies, who has voluntarily returned back to his home. Learned counsel for applicant submits that in view of the cognizance taken by this court the detainee has been released by respondents who has returned back to his home. Today detainee present in court has verified such position, however, submits that he is not aware as to which law enforcement agency arrested and kept him in wrongful confinement as his eyes were blind folded. He has prayed that protection may be provided to him and his family and police may be directed to restrain from causing harassment. Police officials present in court submit that neither the detainee was arrested by police nor he is required in any criminal case. However, protection will be provided in accordance with law.
Accordingly. Instant Cr. Misc. Application stands disposed of.
